Announcement: Joining Advisory Board of Ad Fontes Media

I'm proud to join a remarkable group of professionals as a member of the Advisory Board for Vanessa Otero's Ad Fontes Media, meaning, in Latin, "to the source." For those of you who have not followed my related blog posts, before I was formally associated with the project, I posted twice on the viral media graphic. (Here is my more recent post on this project. And here is my initial post.)

This project involves providing all of us with a greater foundation in understanding the quality of the media that we are consuming. I honestly cannot think of a more worthwhile project. Here is a link to the announcement by Ad Fontes Media.

Part of the project, at this early stage, involves getting crowd source funding. That modest fundraising campaign is linked here. Among the terrific items you can purchase are a cool mug, a poster, and stickers containing the viral media graphic. I have never requested funding on this blog, and I never will. But for those who might be interested in this worthwhile project, I hope you will consider making a purchase or a donation.

I'm truly excited and honored to be part of this project, and to be part of the impressive Advisory Board that Vanessa Otero has assembled. I know that Vanessa and the members of that board are all strongly committed to helping improve how we interact with media in our daily lives.

I welcome your comments.
